How it works
Dog Guard Out of Sight Fencing
Please take a look at our video. It will provide you with a friendly and informative overview of our wireless pet containment systems and the training program. It will also address several of the most frequently asked questions regarding our dog containment systems.
Dog Guard Out of Sight Fencing utilizes a digital radio signal to keep your dog within boundaries set up by you and your installation professional. Our professional installation team places a thin, professional grade wire underground in order to create the safety perimeter you require.
A comfortable collar containing a small receiver is worn around your dog’s neck. This receiver works with the radio signal – which emits an appropriate stimulus level as your dog approaches the barrier. If your dog continues to advance, a second field produces the appropriate correction to prevent him from leaving the safety area.
Because each installation is customized, you define the boundaries. We’ll work with you to protect your pet from driveways, pools, and other dangerous areas. Our system can also protect your flowerbeds, shrubs or other areas from your playful pet.

How a Dog Guard® Out-of-Sight Fencing® System Works
After your signal wire is buried to define the area(s) of containment, boundary flags are setup within the perimeter of the signal wire. During the early days of training, you walk your leashed dog around the inside perimeter of your pet containment area, and verbal commands are used to train your pet to avoid the boundary flags. After your system is activated, when your pet enters the reminder zone (3 to 6 feet from the signal wire), they receive your choice of an audio signal or a mild correction stimulus, letting them know that they are approaching the boundary.
